Training: Human Rights, from Risk to Opportunity (28 Feb, 2019 Brussels)

We have all heard about human rights, but do we know what are the implications for our companies all along the value chain?

The Luxembourg action plan for the implementation of the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights has just been launched while we are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Faced with the growing interest of the corporate world for the sustainable development goals- which have the human rights at their origin- IMS Luxembourg in collaboration with the NGOs Fairtrade Lëtzebuerg and Action Solidarité Tiers Monde are pleased to invite you to a two-day training developed by CSR Europe, of which IMS is the national representative, in order to:

Understand the impact companies can have on human rights and find out about the business case

Analyze practical cases and start an individual reflexion

Acquire concrete tools to incorporate human rights within key functions of the company

The first day of the training will enable you to acquire the needed knowledge to take better account of human rights within your organisation. The second day will allow you to address the incorporation of these huamn rights among the company’s key functions as well as find out which governance tools are at your disposal.

Between the first and the second day you will have the opportunity to reflect concretely on the practices in place within your organisation.
