How to Create a Robust and Credible Materiality Analysis

The process and use of materiality analysis received stronger attention after the new reporting frameworks of the GRI and the IIRC were published in 2013. It is a common-sense management approach that helps - not only - sustainability managers define what matters for the company and its stakeholders. It thus has the potential to focus resources on managing issues and on publishing reports relevant for both.

However, the KPMG Survey of Corporate Responsibility Reporting 2013 showed that “more transparency is needed on the materiality process” among G250 companies, while CSR Europe research revealed that there is room for improvement in validating internal materiality matrices with external stakeholders, and using results of analysis to inform strategy and performance management.

The speakers in this webinar will focus on how to build and implement a robust and credible materiality analysis framework that can inform both sustainability strategy and reporting.
