Conference: Equipping Youth & Business for the
Future of Work

Dear EU Stakeholders,

We would like to extend an invitation to you to join us for the CSR Europe EQUIPPING YOUTH & BUSINESS FOR THE FUTURE OF WORK conference. Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, this event unifies The European Pact for Youth and EU Talent project into a single platform for maximum impact!

The event will take place at ENGIE Headquarters, Brussels, on 7 December 2018, from
8.30 – 13.00. Please see the agenda here.

Context of the event:

Through The European Pact for Youth (2015-2017), business and civil society leaders have addressed to all European leaders 3 joint policy proposals, providing a strategic vision on how the European Institutions and governments can act as game changers to:

  • Make business-education partnerships the new norm across Europe
  • Mainstream entrepreneurship education in learning
  • Make vocational education and training/apprenticeships an equal choice for youth

These proposals were accompanied by 24 National Action Plans (NAPs), outlined by local actors on the ground and setting local priorities for youth’s skills and to facilitate their transition towards real jobs.

On 7th December 2018, we will be at the eve of key rendez-vous – including the European elections – that will influence our Europe’s 2030 Agenda. That is why CSR Europe will host a special “hearing” meeting to look at how much progress has been achieved so far through the European Pact for Youth and to explore how much more collaborative action is necessary to make Europe the best place for life-long learnability, work and intergenerational sustainability.

We look forward to welcoming you at the conference.

Yours sincerely,

Stefan Crets

Executive Director, CSR Europe
