Brussels, 21st March 2016
During its General Assembly on 15th March 2016 in Brussels, CSR Europe elected its new Board of Directors to serve for the period 2016-2019.
Some Board members have remained the same and will continue the work to steer the strategy and direction of the organisation but CSR Europe also welcomed new members who bring with them a wider geographical scope and insights from a new range of sectors. These new companies included Johnson & Johnson, McCain, Samsung and Huawei.
The Board is now made up of representatives from companies and organisations originating in 13 different countries and representing nine different sectors including, but not limited to, electronics, food and beverage, chemicals and energy.
CSR Europe was also happy to welcome two new board members representing our national partner organisations who are from our Dutch and Polish partners. The representative from Forética, CSR Europe's Spanish national partner, was re-elected.
During the meeting on the 15th March, the General Assembly and the new Board discussed the way forward over the next year to further strengthen the role of sustainability as a key driver for growth and competitiveness in Europe.
