European Sustainability Awards: from Goal to Delivery

 

Following the adoption of the Reflection Paper: ‘Towards a Sustainable Europe 2030’ a more optimistic outlook for the future of Europe has emerged. Building up on this momentum, the European Commission is organising the first ever EU Sustainability Award on the 8th April 2019, to which CSR Europe has contributed by shaping the designing process of the awards. CSR Europe’s President, Étienne Davignon and members of the network will preside over as jury. Read More

Digital transformation is redefining customer expectations and changing the way people live and work. With workforce transitions increasingly high on company and political agenda, CSR Europe will hold a workshop: ‘Making the Business Case for Responsible Digitalisation of Work’ in Brussels on 26 March 2019. Drive Sustainability Joins the European Partnership on Responsible Minerals

Drive Sustainability announces its membership to the European Partnership on Responsible Minerals as an effort to increase the proportion of responsibly produced minerals. Drive Sustainability’s actions under the partnership will focus on metals such as tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold, counting amongst 18 priority raw materials identified in the Material Change Report. Tax responsibility is a true business value

 

In the age of transparency, responsible tax behaviour is increasingly becoming an unavoidable issue for companies. Building on the wider trend towards a fairer international tax system, CSR Europe, together with PwC Netherlands and Accountancy Europe will launch a ‘Blueprint on Tax Transparency and Tax Responsible Behaviour’ on 21 March 2019.

Launch event of Disability Hub Europe for Sustainable Growth and Social Innovation

 

With 16% of the EU population experiencing some form of disability, ensuring social cohesion and inclusion remains a major challenge. As an attempt to redress these figures, the Fundación ONCE  is leading the Disability Hub Europe (D-Hub) – a project co-funded by the European Social Fund that aims to foster social and labour inclusion of people with disabilities and promote inclusive and sustainable businesses. The D-Hub will be launched on 21st March 2019 with support from CSR Europe. Read more

Reflection Paper: Towards a Sustainable Europe by 2030

 

Last January 30th, the European Commission published its Reflection Paper “Towards a Sustainable Europe 2030”, which was part of a larger initiative of President Juncker on the Future of Europe, aimed at addressing the key policy-areas for the future of the continent. The path of the Reflection Paper has been long, since President Juncker announced its creation during the State of the Union of 2017, and many actors have contributed to his drafting. Read more
