European Commission launches public consultation on increasing fairness in EU food supply chain

The European Commission has launched a EU-wide public consultation on how to make the EU food supply chain fairer.

The Commission is considering taking new actions to address unfair trading practices and provide better protection to the most vulnerable links of the food supply chain (e.g. farmers, small businesses, etc.) against their stronger commercial counterparts.

This consultation aims to gather input from interested parties to address or regulate unfair trading practices in the agri-food sector.
