European Commission High-Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance publishes Interim Report

On July 13, 2017, the European Commission’s High-Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance (HLEG) published its Interim Report to advise on developing a comprehensive EU strategy on sustainable finance.

The report identifies the main challenges to overcome in order to make our financial system more sustainable, and provides early policy recommendations to the EU in this regard.

In parallel of the publication of the Interim Report, a public stakeholder consultation has also been launched to gather input on the latter. The responses will be transmitted to the Expert Group for further consideration and to support the preparation of their final report which should be published by the end of this year.

An anonymous statement summarising the feedback collected will also be published alongside the final report.
