EU and Member States adopt ‘European Consensus on Development’

On June 7, 2017, the European Union and its Member States signed a new strategic blueprint encompassing the future of European development policy and replacing the previous European Consensus on Development that was adopted in 2006.

This new document puts a strong emphasis on Corporate Social Responsibility as a way to eradicate poverty and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
