Tackling youth employability through innovative projects (7 February 2017, Brussels)

This event will gather high-level representatives from European Institutions, private sector and civil society to discuss challenges and possible innovative solutions to foster youth employment. 

At the event, representatives from Telefonica Foundation will explain their strategy towards youth employability focusing on the project “Employment Launch Pads”, which is financed by the European Social Fund. They will also explain future actions through the “Digital Employment” strategy.

New economy models and social innovation: an opportunity for a better Europe (February 16, 2017, Brussels)

The combination of opportunities brought about by the digital revolution and the emergence of new consumer behaviours and aspirations have triggered radical changes and new economy models, whose impact on business is considerable. 

The European Economic and Social Committee will hold this conference with the aim to enrich the European debate with input from different stakeholders.

EU Industry Day (February 28, 2017, Brussels)

The nature of industry is changing, driven by rapid technological change. The evolution of industrial activity is characterised by digitalisation, clean and circular technologies and a higher reliance on services.

Representatives of traditional and new, disruptive sectors will present their views on the future of their business. Entrepreneurs, innovators, start-ups and the tech community will share the stage with key EU political leaders.

Circular Economy Stakeholder Conference (March 9 - 10, 2017, Brussels)

To showcase the key deliverables achieved so far and to debate future deliverables with stakeholders, the Commission and the European Economic and Social Committee are organising this conference, during which the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform will be officially launched.
