Club de Excelencia en Sostenibilidad and Iberdrola call for applications for the 2nd International Energy Cooperation Awards
Club de Excelencia en Sostenibilidad and Iberdrola, with the support of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, call for applications for the “2nd International Energy Cooperation Awards”.
The award will recognise, in three different categories, the most salient active initiatives undertaken by companies, public administrations and the third sector towards achieving universal access to energy.
During the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit held in September 2015 in New York, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) were approved. These constitute 17 objectives and 169 goals, created as new frameworks for action in different areas, whose implementation will take place until 2030. This call reaches for the consolidation of energy universalization, which corresponds to SDG 7: Ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for everybody.
Eligible projects for the 2nd International Energy Cooperation Award shall be under development at the time of presenting the application, on an international scale, with verifiable results and must have taken into account the three aspects of energy co-operation: economic, social and environmental.
The closing date for submission of nominations is October 16, 2017. Applications must fill out the form included in the award’s terms and conditions, and be sent via email to the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
