BASF 2016 report shows how sustainability contributes to the company’s success

Containing all key figures for the 2016 business year, BASF’s corporate report was released and presented at the Annual Press Conference.

As an integrated report, the publication documents the company’s economic, environmental and social performance and is geared toward the company's customers, employees, shareholders, business partners, neighbours and the public.

Combining financial and sustainability reporting into one document, the BASF Report demonstrates how sustainability contributes to the company’s success.

The interplay between financial and nonfinancial figures can be seen in a graphic modelled on the framework of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC). Sustainability reporting follows the international “comprehensive” G4 guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

This year’s introductory section shows how BASF’s innovations contribute to a sustainable future. BASF supports the United Nations in the implementation of the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which create the framework for sustainable business practices at the economic, social and environmental levels.
