Responsible Business Forum Serbia holds 7th CSR Forum
Responsible Business Forum Serbia has held its 7th CSR Forum.
The 7th edition gathered representatives from state institutions, companies, and international guests who presented and discussed the state of CSR in Serbia and Europe.
Responsible Business Forum's guest from the UK, Natalie Campbell talked about the influence that mission-led business has on society, presenting conclusions of the UK Government’s expert advisory panel for review of the influence of mission-led businesses.
From General Electric Hungary President, Joerg Bauer, conference participants had a chance to learn more about GE’s engagement with the local communities and new approach to reaching more members of the local community and making a positive impact on society. Christel Nelius, Program Manager, UPJ - German national network of engaged businesses and local non-profit intermediary organisations, talked about CSR in SMEs in Germany.
An example of Serbian companies' CSR activities was presented by Maxi Supermarkets, a member of Delhaize Ahold group, who reached out to the local community through cooperation with food banks as part of the "We feed the ones in need" project. From UNICEF in Serbia participants learned more about CSR initiatives focused on children.
At the CSR Forum, results from the first cycle of CSR indexing in Serbia were presented alsol. This is the first online national platform in the country that, for 2016, shows results of 20 companies that have fulfilled the above 70% of the criteria of principles and activities in CSR field, and made the list.
CSR Forum is an annual conference on CSR, organised by the Responsible Business Serbia and Smart Kolektiv. This annual conference focuses on presenting current trends in CSR and aims to stimulate cross-sector cooperation in order to stimulate sustainable development.
