PCI Energy Days (19-20 March, Brussels)

 

The European Commission is launching the ‘PCI Energy Days’ with a policy conference and exhibition dedicated to the practical implementation of Projects of Common Interest (PCIs).

The main aim of the event is giving the promoters the opportunity to showcase their projects and share their experience on how to build future-proof and environmentally sound energy infrastructure by using innovative technological solutions, involving local communities and finding new approaches to financing.

Launch Event: Blueprint on Tax transparency and responsible tax behaviour (21 March, Brussels)

 

Tax is increasingly becoming an unavoidable issue for companies. As the leading Business Network on Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR Europe has therefore launched as of 2016 a project on tax transparency and responsible tax behaviour to contribute to this discussion and look at companies’ total impact to society. Moreover, as information on companies’ good practices in this field are not so easily available, CSR Europe, together with PwC Netherlands developed a Blueprint that features and analyses examples of some specific measures and initiatives implemented by companies in this area, which can serve as inspiration for industry peers who are striving to become more responsible and transparent on their tax policies and payments.

The launch of the Blueprint will take place on 21 March 2019 in Brussels at Accountancy Europe’s offices (Avenue d'Auderghem 22-28/8, 1040).

Launch event of Disability Hub Europe for Sustainable Growth and Social Innovation (21 March, Brussels)

 

DHub is a multi-stakeholder engagement initiative, a singular collaborative European thematic platform, providing involved organizations an innovative, valuable and differentiating opportunity to stand out and reinforce their sustainability leadership and action linked to people with disabilities. The final aim of DHub, aligned with the SDG 17 "Partnerships for the goals," is to foster social and labour inclusion of people with disabilities in Europe while promoting inclusive and sustainable businesses.

The launch of the DHub will take place at the European Parliament on the 21st of March.

Sustainable Europe 2030. From Goals to Delivery (8 April, Brussels)

 

After the release of the Reflection Paper “Towards a Sustainable Europe by 2030”, the European Union need to foster an implementation strategy that would put its vision in practice.

The conference, organised by the European Political Strategy Centre, will touch upon this issue, gathering leading experts from around the world to discuss how to best translate the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals at European level. During the event, the award ceremony for the First European Sustainability Award will take place.
