EFRAG: Call for applications on climate-related reporting
As a part of the EC Action Plan: Financing Sustainable Growth, the European Commission gave the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group the task to establish a European Corporate Reporting Lab (European Lab) to boost innovation and promote the development of best practices in corporate reporting and in particular in sustainability reporting. After the establishment of the Lab Steering Group, EFRAG has now opened a call for expression of interest to find members for their first Project Task Force which will be focusing on Climate-related Reporting, in particular scenario analysis, the linkage of climate risk and risk reporting, and metrics and targets on the impact of climate risk across the value chain. If you want to take part in the Task Force, you can submit your application before 26 January 2019.
Meanwhile, the Technical Expert Group on Sustainable Finance has published its report on climate related disclosures. This report contains recommendations for the update of the Commission’s non-binding guidelines on non-financial reporting, specifically with regard to climate-related issues and to align those guidelines with the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). Stakeholders are invited to provide with written comments on the report by 1 February, which will be used to update the guidelines.
