CSR Europe to support the mobility of apprentices with new project 'Apprentices in Motion'

CSR Europe is set to launch a new pilot project called “Apprentices in Motion” in support of long-term apprenticeship mobility in Europe.

This initiative is set in parallel to Erasmus Pro, a new dedicated initiative within Erasmus+, which was recently launched by the EU Commission and backed by 400 million EUR, to develop long-term apprenticeship mobility across Europe.

The “Apprentices in Motion” pilot project gathers various stakeholders and four large companies (Solvay, Engie, General Electrics and Nestle) to test a ‘business to business’ (B2B) model of apprenticeship mobility, with the view to also engage other companies through:

  • A mobility framework for companies to implement apprenticeship mobility
  • An evaluation framework for companies to assess the benefits of apprenticeship mobility
  • A study report on obstacles, challenges and best practices
  • A communication campaign that includes personal stories of apprentices

The project is co-funded by the European Commission.

On September 20, 2017, CSR Europe will hold a workshop on apprenticeship mobility to equip companies to make use of the Erasmus Pro funding, as of October 2017.
