Update: Posting of Workers and Work-Life balance Directives

After the proclamation of the European Pillar of Social Rights in November 2017, the Directive on Posting of Workers has been approved, and two new proposals for directives targeting working conditions in Europe have been adopted.

By 2020, if your company is posting workers from other EU countries, you should be aware and equipped to be accountable to the new provisions. The text of revised Directive on Posting of Workers has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

CSR Europe members will benefit from our latest EU Issue Insight, which focuses on this particular topic and will be published soon.

Meanwhile, the Council adopted its negotiating position on the Directives on work-life balance and transparent and predictable working conditions.

Three-way negotiations with the Commission and the European Parliament should start soon, once the European Parliament will adopt its position.
