The third edition of the Sustainability & Innovation Conference Series, hosted by CSR Europe in cooperation with Huawei Technologies, will be taking place already next week on October 12 at The Hotel in Brussels.
Huawei will take the opportunity to share its latest research EU-ICT benchmark report which demonstrates how ICT investment can contribute to sustainable development and promote the achievement of the United Nations SDGs in EU countries.
The presentation of the European ICT and SDG benchmark report will be followed by analyses by panel members from SustainAbility, the Estonian Ministry of Environment, UNGC (United Nations Global Compact), GeSI and Ashoka.
They will discuss how can the report be used to set up the next steps in order to boost the impact of ICT on the SDGs, for example, on how the EU is going to close the gap between the leaders and laggards on ICT and SDGs.
The keynote speaker, Jyrki Katainen, European Commission Vice-President for Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness, will present the European Commission's work and policies related to the SDGs, including the recently launched Multi-Stakeholder Platform on the SDGs, and how it can help to boost ICT as a key driver for reaching the SDGs.
This is the last chance to register for this conference. There is no charge to attend but priority is given to CSR Europe members.
