CEMEX presents its book series on "Nature's Solutions to Climate Change"

This new edition illustrates the urgent need to harness the potential of natural ecosystems to mitigate climate change, given their ability to capture and store carbon safely over the long term.

Written by renowned international conservationists and illustrated with amazing images from world-renowned photographers, “Nature’s Solutions to Climate Change” focuses on the critical importance of natural ecosystems—particularly primary forests, mangroves, and peatlands—to achieve greater carbon emissions reduction and to help solve our global environmental crisis.

It is urgent to maintain the integrity of natural ecosystems, and not to disturb those that are still in good condition. Currently, we know that intact ecosystems store more carbon safely and in the long term because they are more resilient. These days, global leaders are gathered at the COP25 Climate Summit in Madrid, engaged in very real discussions to address the effects of climate change and to fulfil the commitments we all set as signatories to the Paris Agreement. That is why this year’s book is of such immediate importance, as it underscores the considerable potential of natural ecosystems to fight climate change,” said Fernando A. Gonzalez, CEO of CEMEX.
