Drive Sustainability: new initiative receives favourable press coverage

Drive Sustainability, the partnership of 10 leading automotive companies, announced it would set up a Raw Materials Observatory to identify and address sustainability issues in raw materials sourcing. The initiative, facilitated by CSR Europe, was launched on November 29, and was widely noted by the press.

The Drive Sustainability Stakeholder Event held in Brussels gathered representatives from automotive companies, automotive suppliers, NGOs and EU institutions to discuss responsible sourcing of raw materials and the Raw Materials Observatory set up by the initiative.

Several news sources picked up on the topic, including Reuters, Financial Times, Investing News, The Drive, Business Green and Auto Blog.

A number of articles mention the Raw Materials Observatory, which will assess priority raw materials for the automotive industry such as mica, cobalt, rubber and leather, and identify the most impactful activities to pursue to address issues within the supply chain.
