Join the new European corporate reporting lab at EFRAG

The strategy on long-term EU greenhouse gas emissions reduction will be released at the end of 2018.

In the context of the recent EU Action Plan on Sustainable Finance, EFRAG (European Financial Reporting Advisory Group) has been appointed by the European Commission to establish a European Corporate Reporting Lab.

The new Lab has the objective to stimulate innovations in corporate reporting by identifying and sharing good practices.

The European Lab will initially focus on non-financial reporting, including sustainability reporting. Preliminary projects may include climate-related disclosures in line with the recommendations of the Financial Stability Board's Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures. Other topics may be environmental accounting and, in the medium term, integrated reporting, digitalisation and innovations in various other aspects of corporate reporting.

EFRAG has now launched a call for applications for stakeholders to compose the European Lab Steering Group (as part of the Lab).

On 13 September a call for candidates for the European Lab SG has been launched with a deadline of 8 October 2018. The call for candidates can be found here.

The first meeting of the European Lab SG will take place on 27 November and an inaugural networking reception will be held the same day.

The Terms of Reference for the European Lab are available here.
